Lions U17 vs Haiti U17 Girls
From start to finish it was a very fast paced game! The first half was action packed, both teams ran at each other creating many goal scoring chances. But the game was held to a draw at the half. In the second half the Lions got on the score board first with a upper 90 rip from Tajah Dallemand to give the Lions a 1 to 0 lead. Less than a minute later Haiti would equalize. In the last few minutes Haiti was able to score 2 more goals to lock in the win.
"These are the types of games we want to give our players here. There is no substitute to playing a National Team, they compete differently than the kids here in the states because these kids have more to lose. I think it is so important for our players to compete against National teams because when the girls go off to college they will be playing against internationals on every team. The physicality is the main difference. It was an eye opener for half of our team who had never played against a National Team before. But overall it was a great experience" Says Director of Coaching Phil Zayas.
