LIONS U17 GIRLS SHOW WELL AT DISNEY

The U17 Girls took 3rd place in their flight at the prestigious Disney Showcase. "We were disappointed that we didn't win the flight but we were there to showcase and thats what we did. Most importantly the girls played quality soccer. The college coaches are there to watch players and I'm confident we gave them much to see. Its not always easy at high level tournaments balancing winning and trying to get everyone in the games so they can be seen by college coaches. But our mission with our team is simple. We want to win scholarship money first and foremost, and if we don't win a $3.00 medal but save our families thousands of dollars I can still sleep well." Director of coaching Phil Zayas

The U17 girls will host Haiti U17 girls in a closed door friendly in Feburary. They will also play a few local college teams in March then their next College showcase will be Jefferson Cup at the end of March.
